Kotaku has been chatting with its sources regarding The Game Awards, which kicks off tomorrow, and have discovered that it isn’t cheap to showcase your company’s game at the annual event. Sources informed the online publication that a 60 second trailer would cost you up to $450,000, and that a tasty three minute trailer could cost you over one million dollars for the privilege. Thankfully there are some free spots for smaller video games which catch host and organiser Geoff Keighley’s eye.
“And the prices keep going up. According to two sources familiar with this year’s show, a 60-second trailer during the 2025 ceremony can cost up to $450,000. A three-minute trailer costs over $1 million. Two separate sources in the video game publishing world said that while they had not been briefed on this year’s rates, these sounded in line with what they’d expect from previous years.”
